Experience researcher + interaction builder focused on delivering intuitive, streamlined end-user experiences
My name is Darren Guinness, I am an experience researcher and human factors engineer at Apple.
In the industry, I focus on close-proximity paired interactions to facilitate communication, payments, and more. At the center of my work, is my passion for making experiences accessible to all, enabling design pathways for a diverse range of stakeholders.
In my graduate studies, I focused on demonstrating how everyday objects can be used to make visualizations, animations, and online media accessible to screen reader users through building interactive software artifacts, toolkits & prototypes. My work can be seen in venues such as ASSETS, CHI, DIS, ISS, SUI.
Exploring my passions further
As a researcher, builder, and technologist, I focus on crafting accessible interactive online experiences using artificial intelligence tools to support screen reader users independent learning. Let's delve deeper into some of these projects.
